Heart of Fashion 2010Heart of Fashion was founded by Bayview Village Shopping Centre. In 2000, the shopping centre was looking for a way to give back to their community and at the same time promote the shopping centre as the premier fashion destination north of downtown. The event, created as a shopping extravaganza with fine wines and hors d’oeuvres, was named to reflect the fact that Bayview Village Shopping Centre is the fashion destination in the “heart” of North York. The partnership between North York General Hospital Foundation and Bayview Village Shopping Centre has, in the past nine years, generated incredible results vis à vis attendance and monies raised. To date, Heart of Fashion has hosted more than 13,000 guests and has raised well over $1 million dollars for North York General Hospital's comprehensive range of breast services.More information on this year's 2010 Heart of Fashion fundraising event to come.
